The Anti-Abortion Endgame That Erin Hawley Admitted to the Supreme Court

(Slate) Somewhat lost in the debate around abortion pills and oral arguments that took place at the Supreme Court in FDA v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine on Tuesday was one deeply uncomfortable truth: The very notion of what it means to practice emergency medicine is in dispute, with anti-abortion doctors insisting upon a right to refuse treatment for any patient who doesn’t meet their test of moral purity. Indeed, the right asserted is that in the absence of certainty about which patients are morally pure, the doctors want to deny medication to all patients, nationwide.

Trump Bibles make a mockery of Christianity -- and that's exactly why MAGA will eat them up

(Salon) Earlier this week, Donald Trump unveiled his newest grift to squeeze money out of his cult followers: Trump-branded Bibles. Claiming the book contains the "King James version" and "also includes the Founding Father [sic] documents," Trump promised "you have to have it for your heart, for your soul." The screenshots of the video are funny by themselves, but I highly recommend watching the ad Trump cut for these Bibles. Trump radiates total contempt for Christianity. Not that it matters, of course. The pages of Trump's "Bible" could all be blank, and there's a good chance no one would ever know it.

How Billionaire's Privilege is Taking Down Our Republic

(Thom Hartmann) In America today, if you can afford at least $50 million in lawyers fees, you can get away with rape, massive financial fraud over decades, ripping off people who just wanted to go to college, stealing from children’s Cancer charities, paying off porn stars to influence an election, and leading a treasonous insurrection against your own country that results in the death of at least six people plus 3 police officers (with over 100 police officers ending up in the hospital, many with life altering injuries) without ever spending a night in jail.

Dems didn't take voters for granted, voters took Dems for granted

It was a Democratic and Liberal Supreme Court that gave women control over their own bodies. It was the same Supreme Court that protected workers' rights against unfettered "right to work" laws. Affirmative action, gay rights and Obamacare, all advances in helping Americans gain additional freedoms, prosper and remain healthy. The Democratic Party has never taken its voting constituency for granted. It's quite the opposite. Our voters have thought that all these rights could never be taken away. Well, think again.

Fani Willis vows nothing 'will derail' Trump's election interference trial

(ABC News) Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis vowed to bring former President Donald Trump's Georgia election interference case to trial in a letter to House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, arguing that her office has fully complied with a congressional subpoena related to a federal funding probe. "[N]othing that you do will derail the efforts of my staff and I to bring the election interference prosecution to trial so that a jury of Fulton County citizens can determine the guilt or innocence of the defendants," Willis wrote in the letter, which was sent on Monday.

Trump is losing support among GOP senators

(Daily Kos) During the Trump era, Americans have grown used to virtually all elected Republicans rolling over for Trump while privately telling reporters they despise him. But eight years into Trump's hostile takeover of the Republican Party, we may be starting to see a tipping point among a small slice of old-guard Republicans who actually value the Constitution and see little left for them to rally around in a party dominated by Trump.

Paul Ryan Has A Stark Prediction For Down-Ballot Republicans On Donald Trump

(Huff Post) Former House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) has warned of the negative effect that presumptive GOP 2024 nominee Donald Trump will have on down-ballot Republican candidates. “I think we’re going to lose more seats than we otherwise would with Trump because there are just too many suburban swing voters that just don’t like him, that therefore vote against Republicans,” Ryan said in an interview with Southern Methodist University’s student-run Daily Campus on Tuesday.

(Raw Story) Lev Parnas is rolling out more receipts proving his narrative that Trump's former attorney and ex New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was trumpeting foul play committed by President Joe Biden and his family despite knowing fully well he didn't have the goods.
