Lukas Novy says he’s a member of the “Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster,” a satirical faith which teaches that a creature composed of pasta and meatballs “created the world much as it exists today,” that pirates “were peaceful explorers and it was due to Christian misinformation that they have an image of outcast criminals today,” and that beer is good. In observance of this faith, Novy, a resident of the Czech Republic, insisted that he be allowed to wear a pasta sieve on his head while being photographed for an official government ID. CNN has uncovered exclusive new information about what is allegedly happening at the CIA, in the wake of the deadly Benghazi terror attack.
Four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed in the assault by armed militants last September 11 in eastern Libya.

Amid grading controversy, Florida education chief Tony Bennett to resign
Tony Bennett, who came to Florida from the Hoosier State last January, has faced mounting calls for his resignation in the wake of revelations, first reported by The Associated Press, that he interceded on behalf of an Indiana charter school run by a prominent Republican Party donor.

Bennett has faced mounting calls for his resignation after revelations, first reported by The Associated Press, that he interceded on behalf of an Indiana charter school run by a prominent Republican donor.
Tony Bennett is expected to resign Thursday as Florida education commissioner following two days of controversy over school grades in his home state of Indiana.
He is expected to hold a news conference in Tallahassee late Thursday morning to make the announcement.
Bennett, who came to Florida from the Hoosier state last January, has faced mounting calls for his resignation in the wake of revelations, first reported by The Associated Press, that he interceded on behalf of an Indiana charter school run by a prominent Republican Party donor.

One of the key deflections over the ethical questions related to domestic spying by the government is “it’s legal.” Stated ad nauseum this defense was supposed to reduce violations of Fourth Amendment protected privacy to technical misunderstandings. The documents didn’t disclose specific details of the violations. But they said that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court imposed temporary restrictions on the programs after it learned of the violations until it was satisfied the NSA had revamped its procedures to conform to court requirements.

The NSA could not even comply with a secret court that rarely, if ever, does not grant the government’s request to transgress on Constitutionally protected liberties.The information comes from the selectively declassified documents on the NSA spying program.
“Neither the Department, NSA nor the FISA court has found any intentional or bad-faith violations,” the letter said.
Don’t panic. The secret Unconstitutional program the NSA is running that is overseen by a secret panel of right-wing judges only had a few technical compliance problems. Back to sleep America, nothing to see here.
