KellyAnne Conway: when the definitive history of the Trump regime is written, she will fare poorly

I was bored last night and watched, regrettably, an episode of Chris Cuomo trying to talk to her. I almost got a headache.

She is non-stop propaganda, lies, diversion, Gish gallop and every other Nazi technique there is. History will really paint her in a very poor light, along with Trump, Miller, Gorka, Bannon, Sarah "Baghdad Bob", and the rest of that wretched crew.

The Latest: Trump defends remarks about Africa, Haiti

Source: AP

President Donald Trump has privately defended his remarks disparaging Haitians and African countries, saying he was only expressing what many people think but won't say about immigrants from economically depressed countries.

That's according to a person who spoke to the president as criticism of his comments ricocheted around the globe.

Trump spent Thursday evening making a flurry of calls to friends and outside advisers to judge their reaction to the tempest, said the confidant, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to disclose a private conversation. Trump wasn't apologetic about his inflammatory remarks and denied he was racist, instead, blaming the media for distorting his meaning, the confidant said.

Critics of the president, including some Republicans, spent Friday blasting the vulgar comments he made behind closed doors.

In a hilarious Star Wars themed remix, a solemn group of penguin Stormtroopers marched down the stairs one by one, clearing the way so that a penguin Darth Vader could make his grand entrance to a soundtrack of “The Imperial March“.

This adorable scene actually came from a 2012 Cincinnati Zoo video, which showed the resident king penguins being moved outdoors to enjoy the cold weather.

Countries that are dirty like toilets, and other ways Trumps profanity was translated abroad

It was a debate that many journalists likely never expected to face: How to properly quote the president of the United States saying the words “shithole countries.” Trump hinted at a denial early Friday.

Deciding what to do with the remarks — and whether to censor them in news reports — was tough enough for the press in the United States. It was, after all, a vulgar phrase not usually fit for a newspaper or television.

But imagine trying to make sense of it in a different language. Every culture has its profanities, to be sure, but they do not always translate well.

That head-scratching dilemma played out in newsrooms around the world Thursday after The Washington Post reported that Trump referred to Haiti, El Salvador and African nations as “shithole countries” while discussing immigrant protections with lawmakers.
