Silly question: Do almost all Brits love them ? I do love them.

What's the biggest hailstone to ever hit your body ?

I think a large pea-sized one for me ? Hurt like shit. My car was pummelled in 1992 by marble-sized hail, pretty much ruined its good looks.

The OK gesture, if done in Germany, is considered rude by some Germans

The "OK" gesture (tip of thumb touching tip of index finger) is considered rude by some as it refers to a bodily orifice.

Windows XP Service Pack 4 Is Actually A Thing Now

http://www.eyeonwindows.com/2014/08/27/windows-xp-service-pack-4-is-actually-a-thing-now/

Unofficial, of course. Remember all those unendorsed service packs for Windows 98 and 2000? Windows XP Service Pack 4 carries forward this tradition, and is now currently in its third beta.

A release candidate is to be available in the near future, ahead of its full release. Developer harkaz has been working on this unified release since September 2013.

Microsoft may have moved away from the service pack concept — even the upcoming Windows 9 is being primed as the last standalone version that will be updated at a steady pace with new features. But that is not stopping fans and users of the now ancient OS from keeping it in tiptop shape.

The unofficial version of Windows XP Service Pack 4, as it is known contains the operating system with all the required cumulative updated rollups injected. Up until May 2014.

I just don't get staying on XP, unless you absolutely cannot afford an OEM copy of Windows 7.

ETA: Ok, I do get it now. I had completely forgotten compatibility issues. My bad.

Eliminate corporate income taxes and raise personal income taxes to 1944 levels....

What would be the consequences ? I'm asking this because it seems large corporations are seeking other countries because of our supposedly "burdensome" corporate income taxes. Of course, if the corporate income tax was abolished, the treasury would take a massive hit, and that income would have to be replaced somehow.

I know there would be massive resistance from the wealthy to this idea, but, hey, no more corporate income taxes !

Feedback please. I'm not an economist or CPA, so I don't know what the unintended consequences would be from this idea.

Thanks, Steve

I understand WHY the cops want forced blood tests....

but....I'm sorry, to forcibly draw your blood, warrant or no warrant, to me smacks of being locked up in prison, where your civil rights are severely limited. Revoke the license. Lock the sucker up for at least 24 hours. Maybe....impound or confiscate the vehicle. But...no forcible blood tests. I just can't get on board with that law. I might feel differently if a loved one had died at the hands of a drunk driver, but right now, I can't endorse it.
