Last customers at a bakery

Today we were the last customers at an gelato store/bakery.
The man behind the counter was closing down the sheet cakes and storing them for tomorrow.
He had just cleared the case of croissants. He asked me if I would like some. I asked for 3 and got 4.
Tomorrow morning I think I will stuff them with scrambles eggs with peppers, onions, and cheese.

We went to one of the lakes south of Munich today for a brief trip.
Starnbergsee. Got off the train at Tutzing for a picnic and walk.
Here are a few from the day. This is also the lake that Mad Ludwig some how managed to disappear into.

Why is there a path?

Clawing out a hard life.

These pictures are from the extreme west end of Crete. The old port of Phalasarna. It was destroyed by a massive earthquake in 365 AD. The quake, shockwave, and resulting tsunami wiped out many people throughout the Mediterranean. There is a written report from the carnage wrought in Alexandria Egypt from the disaster. Crete was raise 6.5 meters. This put the port about 200 meters inland from where sea level was previously.

Here is a link to a short article about the place.

From the hill overlooking the site. the site is below the small notch on the small peninsula top center.

From what would have been next to waters edge before the quake.

The new cove. Possibly half the land by the coast was exposed by the quake

More from Crete.
We will be here for a while.
I may throw in other places now and again as I dig through the pictures from my trip.

Panarama play

With my phone.
The normal setting is wide angle. When I go with normal it just makes the section of the view on the screen smaller.
I guess the wide angle is going to be the setting and then crop out extra when I see the picture later.
On the phone my wide angle shot will move around as if you are looking around the scene.
that is kind of disconcerting.
Any hints or ideas will be accepted, graciously of course.

Here are pictures of Crete.
