We cannot give up this time. We need to fight back harder. There should be mega legal actions against the NRA. I don't know what can be done but we must use everything we can.

Hear me out please. We may be focusing on the wrong part of gun reform.

With the number of guns already in the hands of gun humpers, soon and very soon if legislation is enacted to limit sales and the legal age for purchasing guns, the NRA will be facing the "limits of growth and therefore the limits of profits. (I posted about this previously.)

They will have to come up with new ways to profit because these guns will out live their owners. We need to begin to think about legislation to limit the number of guns a person can own or possess. And there is no Constitutional right to own ammunition. I believe the NRA will be going forward with selling new kinds of ammunition as the quest for new guns begins to wane...and it will as current owners die and leave their weapons to their heirs who probably will have little desire for them. Thus, any legislation formulated should address the issue of ammunition by type, amounts, and lethality. We need to be ahead of this before there is a run on ammunition. Legislation for this could be enacted more rapidly they gun control. Thoughts?

Some women must decide whether an unwanted, possibly damaged fetus is more important than

a live, thriving child attending elementary school or any school. Decouple the abortion issue from misplaced fealty to the NRA and the 2nd Amendment. Decide which is more important and vote accordingly.

It just hit me!

The GOP gun humpers were shrewd enough to PRETEND to be pro-life, religious men and women so they could get the RW evangelical Christian folks on their political side. They could hide behind Roe, which for many Christians is a matter of consciences (in their brainwashed minds) but the gun humpers really do not care about abortion but they have linked anti-abortion to pro 2nd Amendment. On its own, voters would reject the gun humpers when it comes to elections of representatives, but having linked anti-abortion to all things right-wing...including trickle-down economics, taxation, anti-health care. Hiding behind the abortion issue, they were able to get and keep a sizable electorate voting against their own political interests.

Otherwise there is no honest or logical reason to be anti-abortion and pro guns. No logical reason to say you are pro-life and be against ALL gun safety legislation. As long as the Christian right sees the abortion issue as their main issue, reasonable gun legislation, fair tax reform, healthcare for all, free college, meaningful immigration policy and the rest of everything that raises all citizens' standard of living is out of the question. NRA is behind it all as they work from behind the abortion issue.
