We went downhill after World War II, after Watergate, when money took over everything. I put this at about 1968. Money took over television, politics, sports. Compare the World Series 1968 with the 1970s. We now have the dumbest electorate relative to the subject of Civics, and all they care about is money, consumerism, and religion. It's as if they are tranquilized.
