that they think they retain every right that a civilian does and social media only makes it worse. This guy had been around far long enough to know better, but those comments from the public underscore how little the civilian population understands the differences.
Several mental health professionals who work with the military, PTSD, and other related conditions believe he's ill. I'm sure he will receive an examination, at least. If he's brainwashed by "the cult," even though he does not appear to be aligning with the Trump ilk, well, he will face the consequences.

If the order was lawful he had a duty and obligation to follow it just like everyone else

Perhaps Lt. Col. Scheller thinks he could have run the Afghan withdrawal better.
