Asian students attacked by group of teens on SEPTA train in Philadelphia, suspects to face charges

16. I had that happen to me in the City Hall Concourse about 26 years ago...

I chose the biggest kid, about 13-14 years old and hit him in the face and smashed his nose. The other two just stood there. Blood everywhere. I punched one of the remaining two in the solar plexus and the third just froze. The other two were writhing on the ground. I waited patiently for the SEPTA cop, showed him my ID as a dentist and he asked me if I wanted to press charges. I declined and he kicked the three of them out for the day I suppose.

The reason, the REASON I did this, and I know what’s coming here, was that one of them was reaching into his pocket and I assumed it was for a weapon. I knew if I hurt the big one the others would stop for an instant. I learned this as a kid getting into fights in school which were “every man for himself “. Lousy youth but useful in certain respects.
