(18,628 posts)he was doing until ?2 days ago when someone described his show about Ukrainian corruption.
What an amazing life he's led so far. (of course, I hope he makes it through all this!!!!! )
I hope your relatives, and their friends stay safe and healthy!
I'm half 2Gen Ukrainian American on my dad's side. He was an only child, but his father may have had at least one brother. He was a peasant (what my dad said his father told him) outside of Kyiv.
So I probably have unknown cousins over there.
But as an NYC'r when I was a kid we had 2 different Ukrainian Catholic Churches to go to though we usually went to one over the other. As well as eating in Ukrainian restaurants from time to time in "Little Ukraine" in The East Village. We'd go down there to get our Ukrainian foods for Easter. Saw Ukrainian dancers when I was tween.
Finally my sis and I split up our dad's collection of
💖 pysanka. I might have bought one of my own. I did try to make one with unsatisfying [😄 sigh] results! Ah, well.
