If people recall the Greek/Egyptian/Semitic/Babylonian and so on influences you’ll find there were a lot of similar stories where there wasn’t just a singular ‘The’ son of God. But I digress. Also if he were around just apply some DC/Marvel style rule sets to think about why he couldn’t/shouldn’t use powers at certain times/places.
And also yes, there is a heck-ton of money involved with various favored interpretations. And sometimes nazis… goddamned fucking nazis.
Please amuse yourselves with Mel Brooks’ Spaceballs salute, because the only thing nazis are good for is being the butt of humor.
