there is a lot of indoctrination, and boys/young men aren't given the tools to become adults. Just as girls are taught to be weak.

However, I think a lot is also fear of equality - it is only by suppression and segregation of women can men feel superior. Take that away and they just collapse into whiny babyhood. Well adjusted men don't worry about that, or if they struggle a bit, they know it and work to come to terms with it.

We need to raise boys better so they have access to ALL of their abilities, not just the narrow 'on/off'.
