So, the guy is a registered Republican, and had Trump signs, but then forms a half baked, insane plan to assassinate Trump. Why?

And why did that police sniper seem to have the guy in his sights, and yet let him squeeze off at least one shot before taking him out?

And why in the heck didn't the Secret Service have their own sniper on that very same roof?

I doubt we will ever know this guy's actual motive.
