This has been the "liberal media" MO my entire adult life going back to the 90s ...
Any time the Rs say or do something horrible, they HAVE to wildly over react so some stupid shit or complete nonsense with the Ds to make up for having to call the Rs out for the actually horrible thing they said or did.
I don't have enough time in the remainder of my life to list the examples.
