That is true.

A lot of that credit also goes to Pelosi and Schumer, who corralled thin majorities to vote for Biden’s agenda. No easy feat.

Where he failed was in initially communicating those accomplishments to the public, and then not knowing his own limits. In situations like that it’s also best not to rely on people too close (like family and long term friends).

I think if he had an honest conversation with someone like Pelosi early on, who is a political master in the truest sense, he would not have run again. It may not have had to be her necessarily but someone with a similar temperament, who can be critical when needed . I hate to say it, but I think he was surrounded by too many “yes” men and women.
