6. Cops apparently arrived at one of the shooting scenes (Hortman's home)

while shooter was still there. He engaged in a shoot out with them and escaped, but left his fake cop car in the driveway. That's where they found the list of targets. So, they might have his name or not, but they found the target list at one of the scenes, not at the attackers residence.
