Some of us tried as hard as we could to get our representatives and senators to listen, back in 2020, when we had control of both Houses.
We knew then how corrupt and bribed the Supreme Court was, and how ineffective it would be in the balance of power. We pushed for a revision of the judiciary act, to create new seats on the court so that Biden could appoint judges who would undermine the lack of constitutional adherence this court has provided.
It would have taken the kind of risky boldness that has helped along other monumental moments of achievement in American history. Maybe, if we had turned out in protest against this court, Democrats in Congress, instead of protecting their turf and their job, would have stood up, broken the filibuster,, passed the amended act and given Biden five, or six, or seven, or nine seats on that damn court.
The results of that would have been multiple blessings. They would have nullified Trump's delays and sped up the indictments into trials. With the evidence available, we'd have seen the orange idiot guilty of insurrection and ineligible to run again and in prison where he belongs. Roe would be saved, citizens United overturned and all of this money to buy elections would have evaporated. No presidential immunity means he could have been convicted of everything he'd been indicted for.
Now, we have to hope that kind of pressure will convince stone headed idiots in Congress to impeach and remove the bastard for all his crimes. And while that showing on Saturday was tremendous, it will have zero effect on making any changes. Maybe it scared a few Republicans to see thousands of people in districts they thought were safe, but I doubt it will do much else.
