(2,561 posts)25. I had Uncle in ICU, just had heart surgery, had his daughter get him a cheeseburger
I couldnt believe it!!
Years ago
.
I was there, outside, heard with my own ears.
He called one of his daughters to come close to him,
And he told her
.
I CANNOT STAND THIS DAMN HOSPITAL FOOD,
GO GET ME A CHEESEBURGER, SNEAK IT IN PAST THE ICU NURSE.
We were shaking our heads, but his daughter did it anyway.
He also had stated something like
. If I cant eat what I want I might as well die.
He was quite a character, Hispanic, gun dealer, wheeler-dealer,
At one point had himself a gentlemans ranch in Texas, maybe 180 acres,
Nice pond Id say a 3 to 4 acre sized pond,,
Still had his flat-top haircut from his Coast Guard days.
Hard duty patrolling the Hawaiian islands just after WW2 ended

Sadly, they did run on that in 2024 and won. Hopefully, voters will wise up by November 2026.

Kicking seniors & handicapped off SS was front & center in their campaign statements?

Many of VP Harris campaign ads (and Democratic congress members) were against trump's SS plans. They didn't work.

Bless his tiny little heart, he can't help being a cold-blooded moron. His mama's probably still cashiering at Walmart.

And in 5 years, at age 62, he can get limited SS benefits; full benefits if he waits to age 67.

I think some of these idiots just mouth off for the attention, but I'm sure he's not the only one who thinks this way.

Hahaha which 'workforce" would that be? Not enough jobs here in Texas, anyway.
