My father and brother were mill workers. I saw how it ground them down. I was fortunate. I was the youngest of 4 and the only one who was able to go to college, but I spent my summers working in that same mill that contributed to the demise of my brother, so I have first hand knowledge of their struggle to get ahead.
The Republicans in our government don't value the kind of honest, hard work that built this country.
And here they are, oh so anxious to throw millions of people out of our country, and deny millions more of any kind of government programs that actually help the people that they seem to have so much disdain for.
Sure, they want our labor, but resent our desire to better ourselves or get any kind of reward for decades of hard work.

Sorry, it just sets me off to see how little this latest crop of Republicans respect American workers, and those who come here looking for a better life.
