In reply to the discussion: We really shouldn't pay any homage to Bob Dylan here anymore [View all]Tarzanrock
(1,197 posts)is that almost all of these people thinks/believes that everyone in the U.S. thinks and believes just like they do. They ardently think and believe and adamantly and vociferously argue that everyone in this diverse country accepts their "ideology" on matters like "guns;" "abortion;" "women's rights;" "school prayer;" "gay issues;" "trans issues;" "social welfare;" "Medicare;" "Medicaid;" "housing;" "reparations for slavery;" "immigration;" "the environment;" "pollution;" "climate change;" etc., et al. The problem is that anyone, even a hero like Dylan, who doesn't "goosestep" to their tune is branded by them as some unholy deviant (and Trump lover/supporter) whom they endlessly, erroneously and mercilessly castigate -- just like Dylan here. No fucking thanks to this shit! None of us need it nor want it.
