24. necessary for what?

I remember being extremely high at a Grateful Dead show, once, and being resolutely convinced that the entire function and purpose of the universe was for me to be right there at that exact moment, dancing like an epileptic scarecow to "Going Down The Road Feeling Bad".

If we do create super-intelligent machines, maybe they can sort out these kinds of existential conundrums.
