13. This is an excellent piece. One quibble however...

There's no denying that the two murderers deliberately attacked this particular magazine in my opinion because of Muhammed cartoons and other "offenses".

They could have attacked a school, or a cinema, or a shopping mall and killed many, many more.

Instead they singled out the people at the magazine by name. Specifically.

Juan Cole just slides right around that fact...
