how much Justice made from stalling the tax payment for 16 years versus any interest applied and this eventual "settlement". Years ago when I was in the corporate world this was a standard strategy. Companies would fight the IRS for long periods before finally "settling" on an amount. So they might pay a small amount regarding their current tax year and then use the difference of what they should have paid to do other things. They just played numbers games and made sure that the numbers were always in their favor in the end.
