Corker is saying he knows what happened and Republicans should tread lightly because they might be stepping into quicksand on Benghazi. That's my feeling.

Corker makes the point of saying he has read the cables. He knows whatever really happened, and he doesn't want Republicans putting themselves in jeopardy or putting the US into a problem.

That's how I read it.

Republicans are always idiots, but Benghazi may well be a can of worms best left closed seems to be the view of those in the know.
