Widespread power outage hits Detroit [View all]

Dozens of municipal buildings, including fire departments and schools, in the US city of Detroit have lost power on Tuesday.
About 100 structures, controlled by the city's public lighting department, have gone dark with no estimate on when power will be restored.
Among the buildings affected are the Joe Louis sports arena and the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice courthouse.
A cause for the power outage has yet to be determined.
