2. I heard the retire option mentioned last week

He could retire and wait for teams to come for him at the end of next season. THEN make his move for the next season. Next year is not a good time for him to move. Lots of big moves/free agency after next year.

Note - if memory serves he'd actually have to be retired a full season to get out of his current situation with Cleveland but anyway....

Watch Chris Paul - he will be a great indicator. He wants max money (LeBron isn't going to not be the highest paid player on his team as he has been in Miami and Cleveland) and the Lakers have TWO max money spots to fill next year.
