Rumor: Windows 10 To Be Offered To Windows XP Users For $39 [View all]

http://www.windows10update.com/2015/05/windows-10-to-be-offered-to-windows-xp-users-for-39/

Or $39.99, to be more specific. Rumor has it that Microsoft is ready to unveil a special upgrade promotion for Windows XP users, in order to entice them to move to Windows 10 at launch.

This, to go with free upgrades for those with Windows 7 and Windows 8 licenses during the first 12 months is sure to help with the early uptake of the new operating system — something that Microsoft absolutely need in order to do away with the fragmentation affecting the platform.

And while complete pricing details of Windows 10 are still out of sight, there are now talks that Redmond has a plan in mind for those that are still running Windows XP.

Russian leaker WZor has just revealed that users of the vintage (and now retired) operating system will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for just $39.99.

more at link, I put Rumor in subject line to be crystal clear about this link.
