9. You'd Like My Course

It's a course carved out a huge recreation club.
The vast majority of members are there for fishing, hiking, camping, the beach...
Only about 15% are golf members, but regular meters can pay a daily fee to play.
It's "private" but not swanky. There are not snobby professionals. A mix of blue & white collar, many retired.
It's so not swanky, I pay $1,100 a year & that includes unlimited use of the cart.
I end up playing over 180 rounds a year, so about $6 per round. I paid that much for 9 holes, walking when I was in HS! And, I left HS in 1973.
Nobody talks politics either. There are guys I know are R, but nobody goes there for a political debate.
