above the horizon. It will always be in the east before sunrise, or in the west after sunset. Sometimes it is visible in the daytime. It will also show phases, which you will need binoculars or a telescope to see.

Jupiter, on the other hand, can also be quite bright but it can be all the way up in the middle of the sky.
