this whole idea of "revolution" is myopic and often nonsensical. It is fine to push more and demand more but we also need to understand how the system works. No President or Senator can bully their ideas through congress without abuse of power - and there are enough complaints about Presidents abusing executive power and becoming "imperialist" - to quote Taft. This is not the kind of behavior to encourage. Instead of fussing about Incrementalism, which is the inevitable result of having to work with people who disagree with us ideologically, we should be making convincing arguments to sway voters and sway republican districts, in spite of the gerrymandering nonsense. And we need incrementalists , we need policy wonks and technocrats who can "sweat the details" and get stuff done - else you get nothing done because of pigheadishness - "my way or the highway" is precisely the problem in congress right now.
