(8,144 posts)business, Rich should pay their fair share and they dont. However, the math might still no5 work out to provide for new programs in addition to those existing that are broken, underfunded, at risk simply by taxing at the rate so far mentioned.
France levies extremely high taxes on the ultra rich and yet, still must tax working class to protect
all the great universal benefits they provide. This has led to unrest as shown on the yellow-jacket
protests. Of course immigration has had an impact on systems. In turn, protestors blame immigrants and we have the rise of fascism. Our system though it should accommodate at least 11 million new citizens, wont be stretched to the degree that other countries benefits have been.
I am all for discussing taxing the rich more fairly. But Bernie is right. More social democracy will
be shared financially, with middle class, Eve; lower middle class taxes being raised.
