Out of 180 State House seats, roughly 20 could be called truly competitive.
From a quick count, I saw 105 House districts where the candidates ran unopposed!
Now, having seen this sick joke called a 'General Election', how many of you would support Proportional Representation elections for one or both houses of the Assembly?
Also, would the state Democratic Party get behind PR as a legitimate electoral reform?
What percentage of seats have to go uncontested before we can say that democracy is dead in Georgia? We're at about 60% for the House, 40% for the Senate...
