 Raisins, cinnamon apples, or syrup
 Choices to be made!
 A life of choices
 Raisins?
 Impatient attendants await; the choice?
 Cinnamon apples?
 Won't cooperate again
 Syrup
 Raisins, cinnamon apples, or syrup

 Nicole? Natalie? Natasha?
I no longer bother to remember
 Call a name
 A response comes, most times
 Raisins today?

The oatmeal settles, concrete more like
For so much sleep, my lids are always weighted
The sails of the corsairs, clouds on the horizon
Seven tall oaks surround the moss-covered slopes of the inlet.
 Cinnamon apples tomorrow, I decide

Away on the ships I take leave of this place
Dawn on the blue sea; refreshing
A new life of new choices?
 Oatmeal
No raisins, cinnamon apples, or syrup

    | | Ah, very nice!
 The imagery is great...

I'm imagining a scene in a nursing home, where our subject is being asked which sort of oatmeal he or she wants...

 By the impatient caregiver!
