MANCHESTER, N.H. (CNN) — California Rep. Duncan Hunter said Monday he will stay in the 2008 presidential race despite dismal showings in Iowa and published polls, blasting the television “knucklehead” who cut him from weekend debates in New Hampshire.

“The voters will have to decide when this campaign is over,” said Hunter, the ranking Republican on the House Armed Services Committee and the panel’s former chairman. “So that means no matter what happens in New Hampshire, I’m off to South Carolina.”

He criticized the “arrogant corporate executives” at the ABC and Fox News networks who cut him out of candidate debates over the weekend, even though the single delegate he won in Saturday’s GOP caucuses in Wyoming gave him more delegates than two rivals with better ratings in national polls — Sen. John McCain of Arizona and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
