allowed the production of automobiles and other transportation that got double the mileage. But they are, in fact, making that impossible and have limited the number of gas efficient imports to a crawl. SO suspicions by the public that this is, in fact, an organized clandestine plan by these industries to milk the public are clearly right on the money (so to speak).
