BRUSSELS, Belgium (AP) -- The global package delivery service DHL suspended flights to Iraq on Saturday after one of its cargo planes was forced to make an emergency landing at Baghdad International Airport with its wing ablaze.

The Belgium-based courier said it had not yet confirmed what happened to the plane, but was working with authorities to find out. A military source in Baghdad, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Associated Press the plane had been struck by a SAM-7 surface-to-air missile.

DHL spokeswoman Patricia Thomson in Brussels said the company decided to suspend its flights to Baghdad through Monday while it conducts a "full security assessment."

DHL has been making about two or three flights a day into Baghdad since June.

There are going to be more and more "contractors" dropping out of this war as their casualties rise. Thus, an inherent problem with the privatization of the US military.

A contractor can take his toys and go home when he wants.
