The atmospheric scientist in the next building over from me has been upset for years, about Bush's administration. I think what particularly burned her was how she spent thousands of hours doing meticulous field experiments under gruelling conditions -- but Bush merely brushed aside such careful work and glibly said that "the science isn't conclusive". She could see America losing its lead in climate science and policy, thanks to his "stupid cuts" and "bonehead political appointees". She is going to be so happy to hear about Speaker Pelosi's initiative!
