Why do we sit by and take it? Where are our leaders?

I haven't posted in a few days, been ill and it gave me a chance to just sit back channel surf and think.
I am astounded at the ultra right wing road this nation is on. I really see no concerted effort to stop it. Am I missing something? Are we still waiting for this mysterious recount deal to happen?

Where are the leaders of the Democratic party? Why aren't they fighting for this country. Is the strategy to stand back and watch the Repugs implode? I fear if that is the strategy, many people's lives will be ruined economically and many will die in a war that is unjust and illegal.

Are we as a nation just going to get up each day and be resigned to our fate under this emerging theocracy?

You see, I learned as I was ill for a few days that nothing is really being done about these problems, people just talk. Talk about next time, and endless diatribes on where we went wrong and how to do better next election.....the talk is cheap..It's time to mobilize and do something for a change. Where are our leaders?
I am saddened each day by the news from Iraq, from our economy, from the Congress and all I see or hear is people talking about it. I don't have the answers but I am looking for a leader that does. Does anyone know where the next leader is? Man this is depressing!
