Don't get me wrong, I will be voting NO! on Recall because I am against it on general principles, and I think Davis has been made a scapegoat. I will like vote Bustamante although Camejo intrigues me.

As for Arnold, most of us fear that his win will be a good thing for Bush, which is why we are so opposed. But, it's clear that he can't run a decent campaign let alone run the state. The only reason he is where he is is because he is a very popular movie actor. Name Recognition. That's it. Nothing else.

With all the stuff going on in the media, even if he wins, there will be a big fat spotlight on him from day one, and even the slightest misstep will be all over the place. I think this will ultimately backfire on him, on the Republicans and ultimately on Bush. Nothing would make me happier than to see that pompous, smarmy David Dreier get dragged down by tying all his credibility to the Arnie bandwagon.

Think about it, McClintock is far more dangerous a candidate. He's smart, and he's quiet. I don't agree with him on the issues, but clearly he's got a good command of "the game", and without the hype that Arnold has - he would be the most able stealth candidate, that could get away with stuff that would benefit Bush here in Cali.

The big game is 2004. I can live with Schwarzenneger if it gets Bush out. Bush is clearly the bigger threat to this country's well-being. I would love to see Arnie fall falt on his face. Besides, there's always the recall option, which would be justified (unlike this one)because he did not win a regular election.

BTW, I am NOT endorsing him. I am NOT condoning his behavior towards women in any way shape or form. He clearly has some momentum heading into Tuesday, and I am trying to ease my tortured conscience of the idea of such an idiot running this great state. He may win, but I am convinced he WILL fail. Which in the big picture might be a good thing.
