Rich white trash in N.Orleans don't want their darkeys back [View All]

in http://www.spiegel.de/panorama/0,1518,390507,00.html, "Klassenkampf in der Geisterstadt" ("Class warfare in the ghost town"), Der Spiegel (German newsmag on the level of Time, Newsweek) reports that rich whites from New Orleans with claims to long-term residency are agitating again (still?) that NOLA be rebuilt as an affluent white paradise, and that "negro gangs" (quoting the gentleman interviewed in the article, a certain Ashton O'Dwyer, NOLA lawyer and 5th-generation rich NOLA boy) should be excluded from the new city.

While this is not generally new news, and the usual suspects prove they can be relied on to behave like, well, the usual suspects, it is new news that this is still going on (though hardly surprising, given that most of the rich place top priority on maintaining their wealth), and that these people have the nads to make their statements without obscuring their faces or changing their names.

Mr O'Dwyer follows up his proposal for a new NOLA with the old threat "otherwise we're outta here" (speaking of his wealthy ilk). Well, again, don't let the door hit your fat ass on the way out, and take your horse you rode in on (the antecedent to that phrase is implied here) with you. A NOLA which doesn't have the "benefit" of their economic activity but is a better place for all the people to live (how much of NOLA's legendary corruption and economic stratification exists precisely because of the presence and activities of Mr O'Dwyer and his ilk ?) would be a better choice to begin with.
