number that reflects the solid right wing hard core base?

Meaning - 13 to 30% of those who lean right because of 9-11 or fear or pseudo economic hope are essential to any swing to Dems or an Independent.

That hard core base hates Democrats with a passion for a variety of reasons ranging from profiteering or fundamentalism or guns or white trash reasons.

So what's Kerry's plan? Call the 50% for Dems the ABB factor and assume we're with him, then concentrate on the 13 to 30 which places a lot of us in the 50% ABB category in a box labeled "alieanated' to which he says 'tough and too bad'.

Side note: I've noticed something on C-Span - more and more non-Bush supporters are calling on the Bush line because they say they can't get through on the Democrats line. The DeLay operatives who call in for Bush on a rotating basis must all be on vacation.

It looks like some Hollywood and Song people are working on the non-voters. Good show!
