7. I saw the other thread and read it. I am concerned but I didn't
post because I don't really have anything to say. I really don't know what the solutions are to the housing problems. I think that cutting funding for housing is very mean-spirited, as is much of what this administration is doing today. I live in the Greater Boston area, which is one of the highest priced housing markets in the country. If my mother didn't have a two-family house in which I could rent my apt, I wouldn't be able to afford an apt anywhere around here. When they talk about building affordable housing anywhere, the neighbors all complain, the town complains, it's tied up for ages, and nothing gets done. And sometimes the definition of "affordable" is anything but.

I wish I had something more interesting to say, some ideas, but at this point, I don't; just wanted you to know that there are people who do care about this issue and consider it an important one.
