32. It shows how pathetic, cynical, and devoid of hope we all are these days.
I watched a veteran at the VFW Convention explain, on ABC World News Tonight, how he found it "incredibly unbelievable" that John Kerry could have achieved "so much" during "three months."

Why would it be in question? Have we lost all hope? Why wouldn't we be so incredibly proud of this young man, to have achieved so much as a soldier in such a short time? Wouldn't that be called heroic and gallant, in any other time, in any other place?
