They were all over the tv yesterday saying that the retrofitted HVs become too heavy. However, right after Rumsfeld's big blunder, one of the guys from a company that retrofits was interviewed on cable news. He was reporting that they developed a lightweight but very strong material to retrofit the vehicles. I got the impression they were just waiting for the call. The DOD knows about this but hasn't bothered.

So, the new meme is a crock and I thought to post about it here. They couldn't even be honest about the retrofit issue.
