1. The K-12 school system is broken...
With the exception of certain communities that are pulling together for their schools, the entire public school system, nationally, is so broken, I can't find words.

I'm raising my grandson and I cannot tell you how much animosity I have for the public ed programs. I NEVER thought that would happen. I'm a participating parent like never before but the people running the education departments in my area are zombies. No doubt many edicts come from on high in terms of directing school administrators into doing a "good job" (whatever that is anymore), nevertheless the problems remain.

I'm strongly urging my Jr.High School g.son to take some classes at the community college so he can get SOME quality academic exposure!

Again, I cannot tell you how many problems I've encountered as I re parent a child in this country's public school system. :grr:
