I know AOL users who want to leave are still hassled into keeping it, or at least, they make the attempt. They have always made it hard, for some reason, for some people to get out of the service.

Back in the early days, and even into the mid-90s, I was hearing about people who had tried to cancel, thought they had, and yet still received bills for service they never got or used, even months later. I don't know if they still treat their customers like crap or not- and I'm not about to find out for myself, thanks. :)
