and angry about seeing what has happened to my country and to my fellow citizens (loss of privacy and civil rights, the preemptive war in Iraq, engaging in torture, etc.).

If we allow the government to change our country so much that it resembles the former USSR more than the country it was (the one in which I grew up), then indeed, we've allowed the terrorists to win!

Oh, and this is AMERICA or THE UNITED STATES, NOT The Homeland.

I hate hearing my country referred to as The Homeland. :(
