6. Claymore....
Yes, I sent it to someone that is republican but as I also told another family member, I do not think of torture as a democrat or republican issue.

I do not send out things such as lies * has said because I know that would be a waste. I feel strongly that we are all complicit in the torture if we do not speak out. I believe a lot f people support this war because they do not realize that it is not a bunch of fraternity pranks. Perhaps I am naive.

The other night I reached my breaking point when I broke down and cried over a prisoner having his penis cut over and over again. I sat at my table and literally cried. It had quite an effect on me and I felt I had to tell people what is going on. If they can sleep knowing what is happening then so be it.

No, I would not appreciate him sending me republican emails but I would have just politely asked to be taken off the list. I would never admit I ever supported torture. His email is nice and to the point. I did not mind his email as much as I was shocked at someone, I know, admitting they are fine with the government torturing and killing people.

this was not my opinion I sent out, it was newspaper articles stating the facts.

I understand people making up their minds on which party they are a member of and I will never try to change a die hard. I thought it was firmly established fact that most people are against torture. Why do you think so many people are up in arms about our practices? I honestly do not see this as a republican or democrat issue. I see it as a human rights issue.
