7. Medics and RN's need a physician
with a Texas license to prescribe the IV fluids. Only a Medic can start a field IV. The medical personnel are placing their careers in serious jeopardy.

I realize the intent is sincere but I do feel the need to speak up in an effort to protect the volunteer medical staff. They need to acknowledge their limitations and work at a successful triage plan to meet the needs of the community. They need to have a transport plan in place. They can stabilize the victim first without the IV's and such.
