26. Why not let Bush's disastrous policies run their course?
Edited on Mon Aug-29-05 02:18 PM by The Night Owl
A US withdrawal from Iraq would produce the same disatrous result that the continued US occupation of Iraq has so far produced. If Democrats were to successfully persuade Bush to withdraw troops from Iraq, the result of that withdrawal will be blamed on the Democrats even though Bush is the originator of the mess. Why give the right wingers an excuse to blame us for the results of Bush's bad decisions?

Iraq is doomed no matter what the US does there, but I'll be damned if I let Dim Son pass the blame to my party. Let Bush pursue his policy in Iraq to its disatrous conclusion so that the RWNM won't have the wiggle room to blame the Democrats for Bush's failure in Iraq. Let Americans see the train wreck that inevitably occurs when the GOP is given control over all the levers of power.
